The two men who took police on a wild chase through southern Westchester following alleged armed robberies of Verizon stores in Scarsdale, Tarrytown and Thornwood are facing federal charges. Joon Kim, the acting United States Attorney for the Southern District announced this week that 32-year-old Diabel Samb and 24-year-old Mamadou Ndao have been charged with conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act robbery, Hobbs Act robbery and one count of using a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.

Thornwood Verizon Store Robbery Yields Federal Charges For NYC Duo

A pair of New York City men are facing federal charges stemming from the armed robbery of several Verizon Wireless stores, including locations in Newburgh, Scarsdale, Tarrytown and Thornwood, according to Joon H. Kim, the Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Mamadou Ndao, 24, and Diabel Samb, 32, were arrested on Oct. 24 after entering the Scarsdale Verizon Wireless store and demanding cell phones and other electronic devices at gunpoint, the U.S. attorney said.
