Mount Pleasant Gets $500,000 State Grant To Improve Business District

A $500,000 boost from the state will help Mount Pleasant improve its business district in Thornwood and Hawthorne, according to a report by The Examiner News. State Sen. Terrence Murphy, R-Yorktown, whose district includes Mount Pleasant, recently presented Town Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi with the grant money, The Examiner News reported.
