A man who allegedly attempted to steal another person's identity at multiple Westchester County banks took the mantra "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again" to a new level. Bronx resident Jose Cabrera has been arraigned on a 14-count indictment after he allegedly went to banks in Mount Vernon, Yonkers, Ossining and Thornwood with a forged Connecticut driver's license and attempted to take out cash over the course of a single afternoon.

Westchester Man Facing Charges For Running Rent Scam On Immigrants

A 43-year-old man is facing a series of felony charges for allegedly engaging in a rent scam targeting the immigrant community in Northern Westchester. Jeffrey Pena of Thornwood surrendered himself into police custody on Thursday, and has been arraigned on eight felony counts in a scheme to defraud immigrants in the area.

Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue in Thornwood on Thursday, Aug. 16, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. for visitation. Irvington Officer Arcangelo Liberatore had just finished a run and was at the park in Thornwood with his wife, 4-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son Sunday at about 4:40 p.m., when he saw the coyote climb through a fence into the playground.
