HAWTHORNE, N.Y. The Thornwood-Hawthorne Chamber and Hawthorne Fire Department are hosting the second annual Mount Pleasant Day Street Fair and Car Show Sunday Aug. 16 from noon to 5 p.m. on Elmwood Avenue. "Last year was such a huge success that we knew we would be holding the event on a yearly basis," said Aimee Nichols, president of the Chamber of Commerce and owner of Berger Hardware in Hawthorne.
