The Mount Pleasant Central School District employed its lockout procedure on Wednesday morning as police investigate reports of an armed robbery at a Verizon store in Thornwood. According to officials, at approximately 10:45 a.m., two masked men held up a Verizon store in the Rose Hill Shopping Center, prompting a precautionary lockout at nearby schools.
