The Thornwood-Hawthorne Chamber of Commerce is encouraging residents to "shop local" as opposed to heading out to big corporate chain stores for their holiday shopping. "We are reminding residents to 'Shop Small' and support those businesses that support our community," said lifelong Mount Pleasant resident Aimee Nichols, a Chamber member and owner of Berger Hardware.
